Profile

Charlotte is a senior paralegal in the commercial dispute resolution team in the London office. She assists with a broad range of contentious commercial matters for private individuals and corporate clients, as both claimants and defendants, including, but not limited to, claims in relation to: professional negligence; group action insurance work; shareholder disputes; debt recovery; and data breaches.

Before joining Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2019, Charlotte worked at a central London law firm where she was a paralegal in the banking and financial disputes team. Prior to this, she gained experience as a paralegal at three other city laws firms and has a background in financial complaints from working for the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Recent work highlights

Working on several multimillion pound claims against major commercial banks in relation to allegations of misrepresentation, mis-selling of swaps and fraud in connection with alleged LIBOR manipulation.
Assisting on a high profile dispute in relation to a Premiership football club and negligent advice provided by the clients legal advisers.
Providing assistance and successfully obtaining an urgent without notice (ex parte) prohibitory injunction.
Supporting and establishing group actions for a large number of policyholders in relation to business interruption insurance and in relation to professional negligence actions against policyholder’s brokers for the mis-selling of inadequate insurance cover.
