Profile

Charlotte is a senior paralegal in the commercial dispute resolution team in the London office. She assists with a broad range of contentious commercial matters for private individuals and corporate clients, as both claimants and defendants, including, but not limited to, claims in relation to: professional negligence; group action insurance work; shareholder disputes; debt recovery; and data breaches.

Before joining Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2019, Charlotte worked at a central London law firm where she was a paralegal in the banking and financial disputes team. Prior to this, she gained experience as a paralegal at three other city laws firms and has a background in financial complaints from working for the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Recent work highlights

  • Working on several multimillion pound claims against major commercial banks in relation to allegations of misrepresentation, mis-selling of swaps and fraud in connection with alleged LIBOR manipulation.
  • Assisting on a high profile dispute in relation to a Premiership football club and negligent advice provided by the clients legal advisers.
  • Providing assistance and successfully obtaining an urgent without notice (ex parte) prohibitory injunction.
  • Supporting and establishing group actions for a large number of policyholders in relation to business interruption insurance and in relation to professional negligence actions against policyholder’s brokers for the mis-selling of inadequate insurance cover.
