Family partner James Stewart, in his role as General Editor of Family Law: A Global Guide, has released the third edition of this publication which will be marketed globally by Thomson Reuters with a launch on 9 September at the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML) annual meeting in Taormina, Sicily.
Family Law: A Global Guide, is Thomson Reuters’ best-selling publication on international family law, with the second edition selling around 5,000 copies globally. The book is the definitive guide to family law in 45 major jurisdictions throughout the world. It includes contributions from expert international family lawyers including Pinky Anand, Additional Solicitor General of India, California’s leading celebrity divorce lawyers, Harris Ginsberg and Diana Hamade, who is widely recognised as the leading family lawyer in the UAE.
The book focuses on divorce, finances, children, cohabitation, marital agreements, same sex relationships and other developing areas of the law. It offers commentary on each jurisdiction and their respective legal systems. New jurisdictions for the third edition include Greece, Hungary, Nigeria, Turkey, the UAE, together with the US jurisdictions of Florida and Massachusetts. In addition, the online version will also include Japan, Mexico, and the US states of Maryland and Connecticut.
