New visa application forms are introduced

Posted: 06/04/2013

On 6 April 2013 the UKBA published new versions of in-country visa application forms, which contain information regarding the new application fees and reflect the changes in the immigration rules which came into effect on the same day.

The previous versions of the application forms can be used until 27 April 2013. After this date, any application not made using the new form will be rejected. The new application fees apply to all applications made on or after 6 April 2013 (this applies to any form).

The new forms for SET (O) and SET (M) (settlement in the UK as the partner of a person present and settled in the UK) now require applicants to disclose details of all income sources.

In addition to the above, there are new forms for the following categories:

  • Tier 1 (exceptional talent) (endorsement);
  • SET (LR) form - settlement (long residence);
  • FLR (LR) - further leave to remain (long residence); and
  • VAF 9: appendix 4 - (graduate entrepreneur).
