ITIJ includes Penningtons Manches in travel insurance awards shortlist for 2014

The International Travel & Health Insurance Journal (ITIJ) has selected Penningtons Manches as one of the finalists for the 2014 ITIJ awards which will take place on the closing night of this year’s ITIC Global International Travel & Health Insurance Conference in Venice on 13 November.

Now in their 13^th year, the awards acknowledge innovation, achievement and quality of service, and are a chance for those working in the global travel and health insurance industry to reward partners and providers who deserve special recognition for their achievements. With categories including Travel Insurer/Underwriter of the Year, Assistance Company of the Year, and Intermediary of the Year, the finalists are voted for by ITIJ subscribers and judged by an independent panel of experts.

Penningtons Manches is one of only three firms to be shortlisted in the Legal Services Provider of the Year category which commends companies offering legal services as part of a travel insurance policy. This nomination comes just two years after the firm was named Legal Services Provider of the Year at the ITIC Conference in Barcelona at the end of 2012.

Following the announcement of this year’s shortlist, Mark Lee, head of Penningtons Manches’ travel law team, said: “We are honoured to receive this recognition, particularly as nominations reflect the views of our peers within the industry. Over the past year, we have focused increasingly on providing innovative solutions to our clients and it is rewarding to see that our approach has received such positive feedback.”
