Cerebral palsy awareness – recognising Scope's invaluable support

Posted: 02/10/2013

2 October 2013 is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. Over the course of the next week we are running a series of articles profiling a number of charities and organisations which have assisted our clients with cerebral palsy, and their families and carers. In this article we profile the charity Scope.

Scope provides support for disabled people and their families. Originally the charity was focused on individuals with cerebral palsy but it is now a pan-disability charity.

This assistance is given in a number of ways, including the provision of advice and information and support workers on the ground. Scope also runs several schools and a college for disabled children.

As a firm, Penningtons is pleased to endorse Scope and the work that it does.

We have acted on behalf of a significant number of children whose parents and carers have received valuable assistance and support from Scope, particularly following the initial diagnosis of the condition, both via the helpline and website and from their local support worker.

A number of our clients have attended Ingfield Manor School in West Sussex, which is run by Scope, and their parents have been delighted with their progress there.
