30 day entry clearance vignette - adhering to the new procedures

Posted: 18/04/2016

Migrants entering the UK for longer than six months now receive a 30 day entry clearance vignette in their passport. On arrival, individuals will need to visit their chosen post office to collect the BRP. The post office checks the vignette before issuing the BRP card.

We would like to remind sponsors that when new migrants are entering the UK to commence employment, eg Tier 2 migrants, they need to make sure that the entry clearance officer at the airport stamps their entry clearance vignette. Otherwise they will have difficulties collecting their BRP from the post office.

If you have migrant employees who have entered the UK without their vignette being stamped and are now having difficulties collecting their BRP, please contact us straightaway for further advice by clicking here.
