BREXIT READINESS FUND

FOR MEMBERSHIP ORGANISATIONS
3 OCTOBER 2019

Brexit Readiness Fund for membership organisations

As a membership organisation you will be considering the effects of Brexit on your members.

Are you aware that the Government has launched a Brexit Readiness Fund?

This fund is for the sole purpose of supporting your organisations in preparing for Brexit ahead of 31 October 2019.

The deadline for applications for a minimum grant of £25,000 has been extended to

7 October 2019.

One of the key Brexit issues affecting your members will be immigration.

With freedom of movement as we know it, set to end, UK businesses and membership organisations need to consider:

  • have your current EU staff members applied under the EU settlement scheme?
  • how will you fulfil your hiring needs post Brexit?
  • what will happen to UK nationals working in Europe?
  • how will the post-Brexit immigration system affect your business or members and their hiring needs?

To secure Brexit support on immigration please contact Pat Saini.

Brexit brings about a host of commercial issues for your members to consider including:

  • how do you risk check your commercial operations outside of the UK and ensure that your legal contracts are enforceable?
  • will you need to address UK/EEA data flows within your group or with customers and suppliers?
  • do you wish to ensure your intellectual property rights are secure?
  • will you need to revisit your corporate structures and regulatory framework?

For advice on commercial issues relating to Brexit please contact your usual Penningtons Manches Cooper contact or one of the following:
