KaNDy Therapeutics raises £25 million in a Series C funding round

 
 

Penningtons Manches’ venture capital team has advised KaNDy Therapeutics, a clinical-stage women’s health company, on its Series C funding round.

The funding involved a syndicate of leading transatlantic life sciences investors raising £25 million from new US investor Longitude Capital, and existing internationally recognised life sciences investors Advent Life Sciences, Fountain Healthcare Partners, Forbion Capital Partners and OrbiMed.

The corporate team at Penningtons Manches has advised QSR Automations on its acquisition of the QSR Automations division of UK based Call Systems Technology.

The deal, which involved a complex tax driven restructuring of CST prior to acquisition, will help expand and accelerate business for QSR.

Cranbrook Nurseries acquires established childcare group in West Sussex

 
 

The corporate team at Penningtons Manches has advised Cranbrook Nurseries on the acquisition of West Sussex based Elan Nurseries Group.

The deal sees Cranbrook Nurseries, which already operates Little Monkeys in Horsham, expand its locations to include two nurseries and one out-of-school club, providing 345 childcare places in total.

Penningtons Manches has acted for Oxfordshire based Preservica Limited on its recent £7.5 million Series B investment from Mobeus Equity Partners. 

Preservica’s award winning software future-proofs all types of digital content against technology obsolescence. The company already has a growing and enviable international client base, from major household corporations to world renowned institutions including HSBC, the World Bank, Amnesty International and Yale University.

Northgate Public Services acquires i2N Ltd to expand its justice offering

 
 

Penningtons Manches’ corporate team has advised the shareholders of i2N, on its sale to Northgate Public Services.

i2N supplies specialist software to the UK's Ministry of Justice's HM Prison and Probation Service and the Youth Justice Board. Founded in 1999, it is ranked in the top 25 SME IT service providers on the government G-Cloud by the Government Digital Service, and is a key supplier to the Ministry of Justice.
