Sarah is an associate in the clinical negligence team and has experience in conducting a wide variety of clinical negligence claims. She has a specialist interest in stroke cases, claims relating to sepsis and septic arthritis, and claims relating to maternal, gynaecological, and obstetric injuries.
She conducts high value cases relating to adult-acquired brain injury, including claims for delayed diagnosis and treatment of stroke, and works to achieve the best outcomes for her clients so compensation can be used to improve their quality of life. Sarah also investigates fatal accidents claims for bereaved families, including claims for delayed diagnosis and treatment of sepsis, and for parents who have lost babies and children as a result of negligent treatment.
Her obstetrics cases have involved a wide variety of maternal injuries, including claims relating to mode of delivery, hyperstimulation, bladder injury, infertility, sepsis and psychological injury. She also investigates claims for babies and children, including cerebral palsy, meconium aspiration syndrome, and delayed diagnosis and treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip.
Noted by clients and colleagues to be hardworking and persistent, Sarah has a comprehensive understanding of her cases. She regularly deals with sensitive and emotive issues and her clients have praised her for the support that she offers throughout their claims. Sarah joined Penningtons Manches Cooper as a trainee in 2011 and qualified into the clinical negligence team in London in September 2013. From 2021 onwards, she has been based in the Basingstoke office, but she continues to work with clients nationwide.
